What’s up folks? My name is Rob, and welcome to my personal rant. Back when I was a boy growing up in rural Alabama, the most profound conversations I ever heard were around that grill in the backyard. That’s where a young Black man learned about life, strife, and how to deal with “the man” on a long-term basis.
Somehow, we don’t seem to be passing those life lessons along anymore. Instead, our next generation is garnering its intel from some, shall we say, less than impressive sources. I don’t know about you, but when my sons and daughter are looking for advice, I hope they choose me over “the world according to bling-bling.”
Somebody has to say it, and maybe you, or someone you care about, ought to listen.
